Linkou forest walkway 林口森林步道 (22.10.12)

We left Sanxia for Linkou in the morning. Linkou is a developing area with many condos built or in the process of building. According to a taxi driver, there are many Taipei people choosing to live in Linkou because it is quite close to downtown Taipei (30 minutes drive away) and price of houses are much cheaper in Linkou. After settling lunch somewhere, we started on our journey to Linkou forest walkway, 林口森林步道。

Butterfly number 1 spotted.

Signboard telling us which way to go

Butterfly number 2

Butterfly number 3.
We spotted numerous butterflies along the walkway but I could only get close enough to take photos of 3 of them. The butterflies we spotted are larger than normal butterflies. I initially thought they were small birds.

Bridge seen along the way

A small almost dried up creek

Pavilion for people to rest

Chinese poem spotted along the way

Children's slide spotted.  It is quite a weird place to have a slide though.

Our starting and ending point
Overall, we took about 2 hours to complete the walkway. It was quite nice but tiring too. Me and my friend also got bitten by mosquitoes because I didn't wear proper attire ( I was wearing shirt and shorts) and we forgot to bring insect repellent.
